FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Okay, you might as well call this a FAQ. It'll answer a lot of frequently asked questions... duh...
0) Uhh... ZIP-file? What to do now?
1) What the... these are some weird friggin' XM-files. WTF are those?
2) Okay. What do I need to play these things?
3) Hey, neat! But, could I edit these things? I mean, I want to get rid of
the guitars/bass/drums completely. Or hey, what if I want to change the tuning
of these things?
4) Okay, now I can do this! But... I'd like to make a WAV or an MP3 of this. How do
I do that?
5) How are these things tuned?
Go to http://www.winzip.com to get software to unpack these. Now that this is out of the way, we can move to other things.

XM comes from the words "eXtended Module". Some of you know what modules are. They're pretty much music files made with samples. I used Fast Tracker 2, Modplug Tracker and Mad Tracker to make most of these these - right now I'm getting used to Sk@le Tracker for making them.

Most of you probably have a WinAmp somewhere. That works fine, though it seems to have some quirks in the MOD and XM department. Anyway, a couple of players and sites where to get them:
Modplug Player http://www.modplug.com
WinAmp http://www.winamp.com
Mod4Win http://pjeantaud.free.fr/mod4win/english.html

Nobody really asked this but I'll go into it anyway...
Most of these files require your guitar to be tuned half a step down: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
Most of the St Anger tracks are tuned to dropped C, which is C G C F A D
If something is different, it's said at the song.
If you want to transpose the tracks, click HERE for instructions on how to transpose tracks on MadTracker.
