FRANTIC
Eight-beat count-in. Mind the 'missing' note in the beginning of the nearly clean riff. It appears again before lyrics. Play clean riff for 'Keep on searching...'

ST. ANGER
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. First note you play is a pick-up note, so it starts before beat 4 of the count-in finishes. Wait for 3 tom-tom beats, and do the pick-up note again. Play the alternative (James) clean riff, and play octaves for the fast parts. After second chorus finishes, pick-up note adds an extra-half a beat to the song.

SOME KIND OF MONSTER
Four-beat count-in. Play the clean intro. The 7th string comes from the backing track. Otherwise, play alternative parts to what you hear on the track. NOTE: If you have a 7-string guitar, tune to C-C-G-C-F-A-D.

DIRTY WINDOW
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. Play intro riff, and wait for a hit in the hi-hat to indicate it's time to play it again. Do this twice. Double what you hear in the backing track.

INVISIBLE KID
(Kirk) Tune guitar to Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb. Count-in is 1 2 3 3,5. First note is a pick-up note. Pretty much follow what the drums play. When they go out, you go out too.

MY WORLD
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. Play the main riff throughout the intro, except 3 times before alternative main riff.

SHOOT ME AGAIN
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. You play the wah scratch parts. Play alternative parts when needed. For verse, play the rhythm. The octaves come from the backing track. The ending is done in live style. Check the St. Anger Rehearsals video for reference.

SWEET AMBER
Four-beat count in. Play the clean intro. After that follows another count-in in the manner 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. When drum beat is fast, play the same with the track, after that. On slow parts, play alternative part. For "Then she holds my hand...", play power chords. Remember pick-up note on "Ooh, sweet Amber." When the new fast riff appears, you play that until the next "Sweet Amber". After that, play same with the track.

THE UNNAMED FEELING
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. Play the distortion riff, then switch to clean tone and play slightly alternative to what you hear on the backing track. Use wah-pedal for the pre-verse riff. For chorus, play alternative clean parts. The four high-pitched bends are yours. Play clean riff during the lyrics in the middle. NOTE: This song is originally recorded in Bb-F-Bb-Eb-G-C, however, the official tab book has this transcribed into C-G-C-F-A-D. This backing track applies to both tunings.

PURIFY
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. Play the higher parts of the harmonized guitars. There's a four beat count-in to the outro.

ALL WITHIN MY HANDS
Count in is 1, 2, 1 2 3 4. Play intro with wah-pedal. Play all the fills and high-pitches whenever they occur. I suggest you play the clean riffs fingerstyle throughout. Four-beat count-in to the next riff after the second chorus. For cacophony in the end... play cacophony. Wait for 2-beat count-ins for some of the notes.
